Green Beans


A few years ago, my Aunt showed me a little trick to making crisp green beans. And I thought I would share this quick easy tip. We don't normally make green bean casseroles. We prefer, straight up fresh crisp green beans, with a hint of flavor.
Directions:
Boil water (enough to cover about a 1/3 of the beans,
do not cover beans with water) and
1 tsp of Baking Soda
Once boiling, drop in green beans for just a 3 to 4 minutes
Covered
Remove and drain
Season with salt and melted butter
*What you add, is up to your liking. Orange slices are added in this picture
